Joseph H. Huie Elementary School’s purpose is to ensure that all students are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to be college and career ready. At Huie Elementary, we believe that every child is capable of learning when provided with the appropriate support, resources, and opportunities for success.
Our instructional programs are designed to support this mission. We offer gifted services for students who meet eligibility requirements, as well as After School Remediation programs to provide additional academic support for students who need it. Together, these programs help ensure that all learners are challenged, supported, and growing toward their full potential.
To keep our school community informed and engaged, Huie Elementary maintains active social media platforms and a school website that highlight the many accomplishments, events, and learning experiences taking place throughout the year.
We are also proud of our strong community partnerships with organizations such as Amazon; Citizens of Georgia Power–Forest Park; Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated; the Forest Park Ministers Association; and surrounding Forest Park churches. These partners provide valuable resources, support, and encouragement for both students and staff throughout the school year. In addition, Inspiredu supports our students through financial literacy education and technology donations, including computers that enhance learning opportunities.
At Joseph H. Huie Elementary School, we celebrate our diverse student population through meaningful cultural experiences during Hispanic Heritage Month and Black History Month. These celebrations include student-led programs, cultural food festivals, and engaging activities that highlight heritage, achievement, and contributions of diverse communities. We believe it is essential to promote cultural awareness while honoring the accomplishments and traditions that enrich our school community.
